The weaving process starts with the weaver selecting long, straight seagrass, drying them in the sun to make them pliable. The weaver then begins weaving the seagrass/rattan together, creating the base of the basket. Once the bottom is completed, the weaver will gradually work their way up the sides, continuing to weave the seagrass together until the basket is the desired height. This meticulous handcrafting showcases the exceptional skill of our artisans.

To care for the baskets, use a damp cloth to clean them frequently and store them in a well-ventilated place. They can also be dried under sunlight, but care should be taken to ensure no water stands on any part of the plate.
